Can I back up DVDs, copy-controlled CDs or game
CD-ROMs?
Copy Controlled CDs (CCCDs) are usually labeled as being
so on the packaging, and cannot be copied or captured. Retail
DVDs, also, have copy control and cannot be copied using or
captured. Game CD-ROMS have unique gap and track structures
that prevent them from being copied or captured. Due to the
copyright laws and restrictions, these CDs and DVDs cannot
be copied or captured with neoRECORDER 7.

Can I record the ISRC on a source CD-ROM when copying?
Yes, you can. Select [ISRC Search] under the [Disc Info]
tab of the Options Properties window before you copy the disc.
The ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is a PQ
sub-code that must be included on retail CDs. It consists
of information about the country of origin (2 ASCII characters),
the owner (3 ASCII characters), the year of production (2
numbers) and the serial number (5 numbers).

A message "This CD is protected by a next-generation
copyright protector. Use the original CD." appears when I
go to backup a disc.
The disc you want to copy includes the SCMS (Serial Copy
Management System) copy bit which prevents copying from a
copyright-protected original. neoRECORDER identifies this
bit and prevents copying or capturing.
