A read or write error occurs.
The cause off the error depends on the type of error that
occurred. Check the following:
- Check the drive connections.
- Shut down Windows. Switch the drive off then on again.
Now start up Windows.
- Quit other auto-starting applications.
neoCLIP may not launch properly when other applications
are launched at startup. Disable these programs from launching
at startup.
Windows 98/98 SE/Me/XP Users:
Launch the System Configuration Utility by selecting [Run]
from the [Start] menu, enter "msconfig" in the
"name" area and click [OK]. Under the [Startup]
tab, leave [System Tray] and [neoCLIP] checked and uncheck
the other items, then reboot the system.
Windows 2000 Users:
Press the [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] keys simultaneously. Quit
all other programs except [Explorer], [Systray], and [neoCLIP].
Now try launching neoCLIP.

Can I create audio CDs with neoCLIP?
No, neoCLIP utilizes the UDF file system. Mastering audio
CDs requires a separate application like neoRECORDER.

Can I use neoCLIP to write data onto a disc previously
formatted by other packet-writing software?
If neoCLIP mounts a disc that was written using third party
packet-writing software, it is compatible with neoCLIP. If
not, an error message appears. We do not test compatibility
with other software, so we do not guarantee using discs formatted
using third party packet-writing software. Format the disc
using neoCLIP, where possible.

When I try to write data onto a disc, I get an
error telling me that I cannot copy the file and that it is
an invalid MS-DOS function.
The length of the name of files to be written onto a disc
formatted using neoCLIP must be less than 127 characters.
If a file name exceeds this limit, this error occurs. Change
the name to within the 127-character limit.
Note:
If file extensions are also included in the file name, these
are also counted in the above limit, e.g. "filename.txt"
is 12 characters in length.

[Windows XP] I cannot write when I drag and drop
files.
Or I get an error message telling me that the file is already
ready for writing onto the disc.
This occurs when the Windows XP recording option is enabled,
so you cannot write by dragging and dropping files to neoCLIP.
The icons appear opaque in the folder. Refer to Tip for Windows
XP Users to disable the Windows XP recording option.
