I cannot click the [Next] button to input my serial
number; it seems to be disabled. Or I cannot continue installing;
the message "The serial number is wrong" appears after clicking
[Next].
- You must complete all the user information
fields, including [Corporation], before installation can
continue. If you are not using the software in a business,
please enter "Self" in the [Corporation] field.
- Use only capital letters when entering the
serial number.
- Verify that you have not used letters instead
of numbers (i.e. "0" instead of a zero, "I" instead of number
one, etc.).

Can I install neoRECORDER and other
Audio/Data Recording software applications on the same PC?
Yes, as
far as our testing shows, neoRECORDER can be installed at
the same time as CD-Recording software from other vendors.
However, each time such software is installed, along with
utilities, SCSI boards, printers, and/or scanners, the ASPI
Manager may be overwritten. This may cause problems that can
usually be solved by resetting the ASPI Manager to standard
Windows condition.

I cannot install the updater I downloaded from the
MedioStream Website.
This could happen
for one of the following reasons.
- The updater is damaged.
The updater may have been damaged while it was being downloaded.
Clear your browser's cache and download the updater again.
Clearing the cache: Internet Explorer Users: Open [Internet
Options] in the [Tool] menu, then delete the temporary files.
Netscape Users: Select [Preferences] in the [Edit] menu,
and clear the cache under [History].
- neoRECORDER is damaged after it is installed.
We recommend you reinstall neoRECORDER after checking the
file system with Scan Disk or another similar tool.
- Check that you have the correct updater.

I want to install neoRECORDER 7, but I have neoRECORDER
installed. Do I need to uninstall neoRECORDER?
You do
not need to uninstall neoRECORDER. neoRECORDER 7 is installed
in a separate folder. The default location is "neoRECORDER
7" in the "Program Files" folder.
Unless you are running out of space on
your hard drive, there is no need to uninstall previous versions
of neoRECORDER. You can use neoRECORDER with neoRECORDER 7
installed on the same computer (not simultaneously).

[Windows 2000 & XP] When I try
to install neoRECORDER 7, I get a message telling me that
I "need to log on using an Administrator account to install."
When installing/uninstalling programs under Windows 2000
and XP, you must log in as the Administrator to install/uninstall
the program.
If you are logged in with Administrator access, then click
[OK] and install the program.
If you click [OK] and you still cannot install the program,
have you logged in as a Domain User? neoRECORDER 7 cannot
be used over a network, you cannot install it using a Domain
User account. Log in as a local user on your computer.
If you still cannot install the program, create a new account
with Administrator privileges. Log in as this user and try
installing the program.

I cannot download the updater.
Try one of the following suggested fixes.
- Download the updater at a different time.
If you are trying to download the updater at the same time
of day every time, there may be too many users trying to
download the updater at the same time, hence slowing down
the download or denying access to it. Try again at another
time of day.
- Clear the browser cache.
Internet Explorer Users: Open [Internet Options] in the
[Tool] menu, then delete the temporary files.
Netscape Users: Select [Preferences] in the [Edit] menu,
and clear the cache under [History].
- If you are connected to the Internet using a proxy server,
try downloading the updater without using the proxy server
setting.
If the updater was not downloaded properly into the proxy
server cache, no matter how many times you try to download
it, you will be downloading the same file from the proxy
server cache without solving the problem. You could try
clearing the cache as in 2 above, but this does not clear
the proxy server cache. This can only be done by the provider
or administrator. To download the updater without going
through the proxy server, disable the proxy server settings
using one of the following methods for your browser.
• Internet Explorer Users: Open [Internet Options]
in the [Tool] menu, then click the [LAN Settings] button
under the [Connection] tab. Disable the "Use a proxy
server" option under [Proxy server].
• Netscape Users: Select [Preferences] in the [Edit]
menu, and open [Advanced] -> [Proxies] under [Category].
Enable the "Direct connection to the Internet"
option.

When downloading the updater, I have
a choice to [Open] or [Save]. Is it safe to select [Open]?
We recommend you select [Save] and save the updater onto
your hard drive. If you select [Open], you may encounter data
transfer problems over the Internet and local network and
the program may not be updated properly.
